Please bear with us, that we don't see searching web pages from printer vendors as our business. Sorry, but we don't have the time, and beside this, it's not scope of bugzilla demanding us for doing such searches. We are open for new drivers, and will integrate them if we get enough information, and as long as they are OpenSource. So, if you already have the URL for the Universal Print drivers, or if you're able to find HP Universal Print drivers for Linux on HP website, please tell us the URL where we can grab them. --> NEEDINFO Thanks in advance. Please note, that we need real and complete OpenSource drivers. We cannot distribute drivers: - which are only partly OpenSource, and other parts shipped as binary only (i.e. i386 library). We support more than one processor type. Canon does so for their Linux printer drivers at the moment. - where the source code is open but the idea behind patented, and only redistributable with a license fee. JBIG patent is our current problem for several Samsung printers. - where the code restricts us to have only one single printer of that kind at the Linux system. USB offers the possibility to connect more than one printer device at the PC at the same time. Canon has such restriction in their code. We (developers) have the same communication channels to HP as anyone else. Don't expect any special contacts from us. And OpenSource drivers require that the drivers are avail to the whole world. So it's intentional that they are not integrated via "closed doors projects", and therefore special communication cannot take place. BTW: I closed this bug with INAVLID, and _not_ with WONTFIX, as we got only a reference to Windows drivers. I distinguish here strongly, because it is a different intention behind both.
