The problem is that this is not my notebook and we managed to get it working
with xrandr after we tried all kinds of combinations and resolutions. Since it
works now and proper resolution is pretty important for ffeling comfortable
when working with opensuse, I hesitated to change anything.

I am not familiar with xrandr, we just looked on the internet for the commands
to use and tried it. So if you could tell me which files except the xorg.conf I
have to save in order to be able to restore the current state after trying out
a different resolution, I will provide the data.

I'm not sure we tried to switch the resolutions, i.e. assume that the secondary
head is the panel, so it might be worth a shot.

If sax2 is not the best option to configure dual-head, would it not make sense
to tell the user so, or at least give a hint within sax2 that if things do not
work out, he should try krandrtry or gnome's equivalent?
