After blacklisting the i2c_i801 module the system rebooted and stayed up for some 25 minutes, then the disk froze again. SMBus now is on IRQ 0, therefore not guilty isn't it? The only two devices remaining on IRQ 19 are USB#2 and SATA. On the other hand, I have found a thread on the ASUS forum where people are reporting Windows hanging on some boards and SMBus shows I/O ports conflict in Windows device manager. The thread is on the Russian ASUS support forum, so it is of limited use here. I post a link anyway http://forum.asus.ru/viewtopic.php?t=3344 I will report again when I manage to update the firmware on the machine in question. Apparently ASUS flash burner fails to run from a floppy image. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
