Even when firefox is started and loading the opensuse homepage this can happen! OK, it is an old machine but this did not happan in former opensuse releases. Machine description: Abit BP6 motherboard with two celeron 433Mhz cpu's, 512Mb memory, 4 hdd's connected via Promise ULTRA133TX2. Network is with static ip adresses via router. The problem does NOT occur when the machine is booted in failsafe mode. So maybe this is an smp kernel problem? I tried several configs with kde 3.5 and 4.0 from downloded installdvd iso.
