Sorry I was on vacation last week.
I have a Sierra Wireless USB AirCard; when I plug it in I get the following in
the system log:

.. so the card is seen by the system itself.
When I try to add this card to KNetworkManager (via Edit connections --> New
Connection) my only options are wired, wireless, and VPN. Right click on the
kNetworkManager icon --> New Connection only shows eth0 and wlan0.
So, I don't have any means to add this connection to KNetworkManager.
