https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=402553 Summary: System freezes when notebook lid is closed for a while Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: funtasyspace@yahoo.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Actually I'm not quite sure which component to assign this bug to, but as it happens on KDE 4.0 I assign it to KDE4 Workspace for now... Problem description: If just close the lid of my HP Compaq 6510b Business Notebook for a while and open it again after an hour or so, the system is completely frozen. This bug is reproduceable, as it happens _EVERY_ time. If I just close the lid for 5 minutes or so, the system doesn't freeze. After I did a hard reset an rebooted the system, I searched the system logs for suspicious messages or hints, why the system freezes, but I found nothing. Please tell me how I can provide you with more usefull information in this case? I assume you don't have such a model/machine available to reproduce the problem yourself. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
