This seems to happen to all gnome apps w/ Korean selected as the main language.
 What happens is whenever scim tries to start up on login or when a root gnome
app (yast2 or whatever) starts, scim-launcher and scim-bridge hog cpus for
about a minute and block the app.  If scim is killed during that hogging, the
app makes progress but when it tries to get text input, scim gets started again
and the whole hogging comes back.

If I wait patiently till the hogging ends, scim starts up successfully and
shows the notification area applet and after that everything works fine till
the next time scim starts (ie. when all root apps exit and a new one starts).

Please take a look at the following log.  Starting up gnome-control-center and
exiting immediately burned 27 seconds of cpu cycles and took about a minute
(time to enter the password and press the exit button summed wouldn't be over
fifteen seconds).
