After additional discussions with the Java people, the conclusion is that is
not
a bug and that libjawt.so won't be linked to libmawt.so since the jvm will do a
dlopen() for the correct libmawt.so depending on the environment. Here are the
three different versions and the environments they are for:
/jre/bin/xawt/libmawt.so library is used to support XToolkit
/jre/bin/motif21/libmawt.so is used to support MToolkit
/jre/bin/headless/libmawt.so is for operation without DISPLAY
environment on unix
Since Java is working as designed regarding the linking of these libraries, I
will be closing this bug as NOTABUG. The Java folks also suggested that Novell
continue linking the application as Novell indicated they are doing now.
