https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=400471 Summary: LTP: rename testcases Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: erik.hamera@novell.com ReportedBy: pkirsch@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de CC: chuller@novell.com, yxu@novell.com Found By: --- LTP: internal problem Product independent For result analysis it is PITA, that the current LTP naming scheme uses for every sub group: ([0-9])+-([[0-9]])+\.test (the same number scheme). More fun you have, when some test cases do a segfault, like: 2-2.test[22708]: segfault at 7f7000000000 ip 7f7000000000 sp 7fff6a9f6760 error 14 in libgcc_s.so.1[7f7061bf0000+16000] 2-3.test[22877]: segfault at 7fdc00000000 ip 7fdc00000000 sp 7fff66259fc0 error 14 in libgcc_s.so.1[7fdc5d454000+16000] Then you need to rerun all test cases which name is "2-3.test" or you grep through the log files, which all makes a lot fun again and again etc. . So what would I like to have: to change the naming scheme in that way, that a test case clearly identifiable, e.g. <testgroup>.<testcase> -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
