Please define what you mean with "orphaned RPM packages".
The packages that are no longer required by anything else?
All such packages?
Just leaf packages?
The problem is that this can quickly end up with a very empty system: The
system by itself doesn't need bash, glibc, or a kernel. Sure, glibc is required
by other packages, but at some point, that dependency graph will also end: It
will be a tree of packages that no other packages need.
Still, that tree might do useful things - like bash.
Where do you draw the line?
