How can I turn it off? kill $PID? simple-ccsm always tells me, that effects are
enabled.

It looks like you have saved session, KDE saves session on logout and runs all
the apps that were running, including compiz, try turning off compiz, then log
off saving that state.
How can I turn it off? kill $PID? simple-ccsm always tells me, that effects are
enabled.
