The installer can't find the source CD from which install (yes, it can boot
from this, but after the kernel and initrd are loaded it can't the CD/DVD
drive).
It's seems like the kernel doesn't have the module to use some apple specific
ata/eide chipset. Please note that SATA drives are correctly found !
I' ve tried to install openSUSE 11.0 RC1 for PPC on DVD on this Apple
hardware:
PowerMac G5 1,8Ghz - 3GB ram - SuperDrive DVD - 250GB SATA HD
iMac Flat LCD G4 800Mhz - 768 MB - DVD/CDRW Drive - 80 GB EIDE HD
Trying to manual load modules doesn't helps ...
Please note that on this hw I've already installed YDL 6.0 and the latest
Debian etch (4.0r3)
