The dmesg output attached here as well as in the bug marked as duplicate shows
that a fault in VM86 mode is being (mis-)treated as a kernel mode fault, i.e.
an oops.
The one addressing the problem above. I implied that this requires the fix to
hit cvs (after testing on our part, specifically because there's another more
intrusive bug fix in the queue before the one here that cannot be committed
without some testing) and then externally visible. I'll put this bug on
needinfo from the originator as soon as the fix is in cvs.
