Then why would disabling network manager and going back to the ifup/ifdown
scripts stop the defaultroute from being reset every xx minutes? I realize
internet sharing is handled by the firewall..I had wlan0 defined as external
and eth0 as internal with masquerading turned on. I used networkmanager to
connect to the wifi network and it did NOT establish a default route. I set it
manually and then roughly every 15 minutes I had to delete the defaultroute of
eth0 that it had reset itself to and reset it to point to wlan0's defaultroute.
I even set a "default gateway" in yast to the default route I wanted...none
of this would stick....yet when I stopped using networkrouter everything worked
fine and the defaultroute stayed. There's an issue there.
