https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=398001 Summary: HD Install will not mount encrypted partitions due to missing pam_mount. Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: RC 1 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Booting AssignedTo: jsrain@novell.com ReportedBy: novell@rvp.endjunk.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Product Management Problem also occurs on i386 livecd. On the livecd's you are given the option to create encrypted partitions during the install but pam_mount is not included therefore when you load your installed system NONE of your encrypted partition's will load. You have to go back into the partitioner, select the encrypted partitions..mark them as encypted and then let it load pam_mount and the other packages needed by pam_mount. You also have to do the same to the swap if you wanted encrypted swap. Because of this, you are prompted on every bootup for the password for the SWAP which I left blank so it would be random....I was not prompted for a swap password on Opensuse 10.3. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
