https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=397474 Summary: can't install SLED10-SP2 on x86_64 ... Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Factory Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Xen AssignedTo: cgriffin@novell.com ReportedBy: mmeeks@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- I have an x86_64 machine, running an x86_64 xen kernel: $ rpm -q --changelog kernel-xen | head * Mon May 26 2008 sdietrich@suse.de RT: Update to 2.6.25.4-rt3 - add RWSEM / RWLOCK patches: - patches.rt/rt-mutex-core.patch: Linux-RT 2.6.25.4-RT3. - patches.rt/multi-reader-account.patch: map tasks to reader locks held. - patches.rt/multi-reader-limit.patch: implement reader limit on read write locks. I try to install para-virtualised (no Vx extn), from a local ISO image of: SLED-10-SP2-DVD-x86_64-GMC-DVD1.iso The system boots nicely, I go through the config GUI, partition the disks etc. but when I come back to the console after lunch, there is an error: I assume this is after the re-boot for the 2nd stage install: "Error Failed to start the VM v Details Error: Boot loader didn't return any data! Usage: xm start <DomainName> Start a Xend managed domain" ... I assume the bug is in 11.0 since SP2 is supposedly state-of-the-art - right ? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
