https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=396261 Summary: Updater Applet Not In Synch With YaST2 Update If Newer Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Factory Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Update Problems AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: ahowarth@iinet.net.au QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Beta-Customer The update applet fails to show correct information about available updates as synch appears to be lost from other important events. One of these is the case where: 1. Updates are available and are shown in the update applet 2. User decides to use install updates in YaST2, performing a "update if newer version available". 3. Updates are correctly applied. 4. Update applet looses synch with this event and erroneously reports updates are still available which will confuse novice users. Manual intervention is possible by refreshing the update but I do not consider that to be good usability. Can I please recommend that the update applet be sensitive to any other events which could influence the correctness of what the applet thinks is going on. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
