https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=396247 Summary: DHCP Is Failing Over Time Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Factory Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: ahowarth@iinet.net.au QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Beta-Customer Created an attachment (id=219388) --> (https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=219388) parts of system log Having the latest factory updates as of June 1 last night, I went to sleep with networking functional. When I returned to my machine, DHCP had been lost. I was unable to regain a DHCP lease and was not able to fix it using an ifconfig eth0 restart. The DHCP server is a netgear consumer router where I have ip reservation based off mac address for the this client workstation. Attached is the system log. I do not appear to loose the DHCP lease if I am actively using the PC - perhaps its something to do with a power state or similar? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
