Booting into runlevel 3 hangs at some point so I have to do Alt+Sysrq b to
reboot.

Booting to runlevel 1 works, but machine hangs after init 3.

The last line output is not always the same. It seems sometimes the failure
happens at a slightly varying time.

Hardware: Dell Inspiron 9400 Notebook, Genuine Intel(R) CPU T2600 @ 2.16GHz,
2GB RAM.

Kernel: vmlinuz-2.6.25.3-2-xen
