Hm, the analog/digital shouldn't have been turned on as default.
Could you check the following?
- change the runlevel to 3, i.e. without GUI
- login to linux console as root
- run "rcalsasound stop"
- rename /etc/asound.state to something else
- run "rcalsasound start"
- save /etc/asound.state again
- try to re-setup the sound via YaST
- run "alsactl store", and save /etc/asound.state again
Then you'll have three /etc/asound.state. The second one is the default status
of the driver, and the last one is what YaST sets up.
Please check whether "analog/digital" switch is changed wrongly in the last two
cases. If they aren't, then something else (e.g. kmix) did change the switch
wrongly.
