https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=396203 Summary: initrd is not created on kernel upate Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Factory Platform: i686 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: roffermanns@sysgo.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Beta-Customer I am running factory since a few weeks and the last 2 or 3 kernel updates resulted in an unbootable system, because the initrd was not (re-)created automatically. I had to boot a rescue system from CD and chroot in my real system to call "mkinitrd" manually. After this everything worked find again. I did not use the GUI tools for the update but the "zypper dup" command. Is there anything I am missing? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
