I also got the 'only partly supported' message when I installed RC1 with KDE4
and an Epson C88 ink jet but no error message. This printer worked in Beta 3.
When I printed a test page all I got was text like this:
/SEXTANT {% Draw a color wheel sextant...
% (name) white radius r g b SEXTANT -
% Loop through 100 shades...
0 0.010101 0.98 {
After three pages of this I stopped it. When I try to print anything other than
a test sheet, nothing happens and there are no jobs in the queue.
In the Cups printing utility, it lists the printer driver as Local Raw Printer.
It lists the printer state as idle, accepting jobs.
In the YaST printer config tool, it lists the device as Epson/Stylus/C88, model
unknown.
If I go to configure>basic settings and click change model, I can select Epson
and C88 from the list. Then it shows the model as Epson C88.
The gutenprint driver for epson is listed in the driver field. I clicked add
driver but nothing happened. I clicked print test page and nothing happened. I
clicked finish and it saved the configuration. When I launched YaST printer
configuration again, it said model unknown again.
