https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=395676 Summary: English (US) locale settings incorrect Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: RC 1 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: dmoore316@cfu.net QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- During installation, I set English (US) to be the locale. When I open KDE's Configure Desktop program, it says I'm using default. Most of the details are correct ($ for currency, commas for thousand and periods for decimal, date in the usual setting for the U.S., etc.). Several details are not. First the taskbar clock is using 24 hour rather than the 12 hour AM/PM that we Yanks like over more rational settings :). While regular date is correct, short date is in the non-U.S. year-month-date format rather than our month-date-year. Also, paper is set to A4 rather than letter, and measure system is set to metric rather than Imperial. While all easy to change, if you choose English (US) in the installation process, KDE should automatically give you typical U.S. formats. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
