[Bug 394529] New: Online update configuration - " No update server could be added to your configuration"
- From: bugzilla_noreply@xxxxxxxxxx
- Date: Mon, 26 May 2008 09:20:40 -0600 (MDT)
- Message-id: <bug-394529-21960@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/>
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=394529
Summary: Online update configuration - "No update server could be
added to your configuration"
Product: openSUSE 11.0
Version: Beta 3
Platform: i386
OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: Installation
AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: f.leerink@xxxxxxxxx
QAContact: jsrain@xxxxxxxxxx
Found By: Other
During the online update configuration of the opensuse updater a list was
presented with the update sources and I selected a number of them, the regular
ones non-oss, oss and update and a few others eg packman. In the end part of
this process the selected update sources are checked and updated and a few of
them failed and generated the message "No update server could be added to your
configuration". The non-oss was at least one of them.
Is it intentional that during autoconfiguration no network is set up in case of
manual (non-dhcp) IP address assignment, resulting in the need for above
mentioned online update configuration of the opensuse updater.
Regards,
Frans
