No changes are necessary to the pulseaudio daemon itself. We do need to:
1. drop x86_64 version of libflashsupport
2. make sure we have a -32bit package of libpulse0 (which _should_ be the only
extra -32bit package we need in this case. Above we needed libsamplerate, but
that was before pulseaudio-libs was split up)
3. make sure that the 32bit version of libflashsupport gets installed on
x86_64
Once those changes are in place, 64bit firefox uses 32bit flash via the plugin
wrapper. The 32bit flash will load the 32bit libflashsupport, which will load
the 32bit libpulse.so, which will connect to the 64bit pulse daemon (via
socket?).
(Again, if pulse was running on top of alsa dmix (which is suboptimal imho)
flash would try to connect to alsa dmix as well, and it would work. But, it
appears the pulse hal autoconfiguration bound pulse to use alsa's hw:0, (which
is great!), but necessitates the above changes)
