- From: bugzilla_noreply@xxxxxxxxxx

- Message-id: <bug-391646-21960@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/>
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=391646
Summary: processor.ko interferes with second suspend to ram on
thinkpad X61s
Product: openSUSE 10.3
Version: Final
Platform: x86
OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: Kernel
AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: kq8z67r6309fo9001@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
QAContact: kernel-maintainers@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Found By: ---
With kernel-default-2.6.22.17-0.1, the first suspend-resume cycle works fine,
the second attempt either does not resume (if suspending from X) or does not
suspend (if attempting from an init=/bin/bash environment). In either case,
the machine is frozen and the only recourse is to power off by holding down the
power button.
Suspend works if the processor module is first unloaded, and also seems to work
under 2.6.25.1 kotd.
Some further discussion on the suspend-devel list:
