https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=390622 Summary: Installer did not give an option such as "(do not mount partition)" when choosing mount points Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Beta 2 Platform: HP OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: skippy@granicus.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Beta-Customer The new installer is awesome, and there was only one small sticking point that I came across while preparing my system. I have my disk partitioned into 3 volumes & a swap area so that I can play around with beta releases and keep one stable system at the same time. I try to keep those partitions completely separate, but the installer fought me on this one. My ubuntu partition was recognized as linux, and I had a large dropdown list of mount points (/, /home, etc.) to choose. It wasn't obvious that the only way to stop that partition from being mounted at all was to choose a point (say, /home), then delete the text in the text window. My experience would have been improved from an option such as "(Do Not Mount)" that would make it clear that I was opting out of sharing that partition. That's all - best installer I've used so far :) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
