Is there any way YaST could workaround the problem? From your comment, I cannot
really figure out what exactly is missing during the installation, only what
causes it. I'd like to avoid writing a special hack into genericfrontend.cc,
which could break something else.

BTW: Since we have a built-in to set environment variables, would it help if
YAST_IS_RUNNING was set to inst-sys when calling Storage::InitLibstorage ();
and resetting it afterwards?
