You can distribute it. But everything, what is handled by the repserver and the
publisher needs to be on the same disk. Otherwise you would need double disk
space.
Also the workers can be on remote systems. So you can have the backend server
on the SAN and running workers on something else.
If you would like to use separate disks for projects, it might be better to use
multiple build services and connect them via the interconnect.
However, we can keep this as a low priority feature. If someone has a real use
case for this, we can add an additional code path for this. Or someone makes a
patch :)
