This means that a valid resolv.conf is availabe during first stage. mkinitrd put a hardcoded 'boettger.suse.de' as nfsserver into the initrd. But for some reason, mkinitrd did fall back to static interface configuration. As a result, name resolving fails because the target directory has no /etc/resolv.conf during first stage. I think the used cmdline during install was: "sysrq=1 start_shell nosshkey quiet install=nfs://dist.suse.de/dist/install/openSUSE-11.0-Beta2/openSUSE-11.0-Beta2-DVD-ppc.iso linuxrcstderr=/dev/console lxrcdbg=4 " The used cmdline for booting into nfsroot is "quiet panic=12 sysrq=1 " logs can be found in bug #384420 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
