https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=389602 Summary: Usability: packages with new version available are not highlighted in Yast2 installer Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Beta 2 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: maacruz@gmail.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Created an attachment (id=214553) --> (https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=214553) yast2 installer screenshot When there is a new package available, or the installed package is newer than the available package, until 10.3 the behaviour of yast2 installer was to highlight the whole package line in blue/red respectively. This was very convenient to detect changes in repositories, and a great ergonomic design. The new yast2 package installer only highlights the version field, making very hard to detect new versions. The previous behaviour of highlighting the whole line should be restored. A screenshot of yast2 installer, where kernel-pae has a new version available, is attached. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
