I know it's not 2.6.24, but 2.6.24 taught me all about the healing "nohz=off"
parameter when using an i386 kernel. As I have got no other HP Compaq 6715s
around I am not going to install Beta2 on it to figure out, what happens when
installing with "nohz=off" and then booting without it. I can just repeat: the
GNOME-LiveCD-x86_64 works perfectly when booting it with "nohz=off" and stops
booting with no message without "nohz=off".
10.3 i386 in comparison works fine with "nohz=off", goes into a message-less
hanging state without"nohz=off"; 10.3 x86_64 (the one installed) works great
without"nohz=off" or any other parameter.
