after recent latest updates from factory,
I am getting a green star in the panel
indicating there is one pending update.
(This is the failing nscd update from bug #386591 btw.)

When klick on "update system now", i get an error box saying
"Failed to update system: Authorisation could not be obtained".

Afterwards I cannot use zypper (as root) on the command line any more:

A ZYpp transaction is already in progress. This means, there is another
application using the libzypp library for package management running. All such
applications must be closed before using this command.
nirvana:~ # cat /var/run/zypp.pid

/usr/sbin/packagekitd
nirvana:~ #

after killing the packagekitd, zypper works again.
