https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=386530 Summary: Yast2 installer crashes after submitting user information Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Beta 2 Platform: 32bit OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Blocker Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: silver.salonen@gmail.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Other I wanted to upgrade my 10.3 to 11, so I downloaded the KDE4 ISO CD and booted in there. Install wants to just perform an ordinary fresh install that wants to even delete my existing partitions (I use XFS-formatted /boot and / (the latter is within LVM)). After fixing partitioning to keep and use the old ones, user information is being requested. After inserting the information and pressing Next, yast2 (and actually all the livecd environment) hangs quite a while and finally crashes: /sbin/yast2: line 420: 3481 Segmentation fault $ybindir/y2base $module "$@" "$SELECTED_GUI" $Y2_GEOMETRY $Y2UI_ARGS I tried it several times with GUI as well as from command-line. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
