Yes, the configurations are stored in different places, ccp stores in a
flat-file in ~/.config/compiz and gconf plugin in ~/.gconf.
Change /usr/bin/gnome-wm compiz command from "compiz --replace glib gconf" to
"compiz --replace ccp" if you are using ccsm or simple-ccsm as config tools.
@vuntz what are the plans for gnome-wm in 11.0?
