I am referring to http://en.opensuse.org/Bugs:Most_Annoying_Bugs_11.0_dev which
gives
.. zypper in -y -f -n $i; ...
and I wanted to now what the options do. (Again) I got confused between global
and local options. As the command above works, -y is not documented in zypper
help or zypper help in, nor is it in man zypper under install (it is under rug
commands, though, but that doesn't apply here).
-m -a are documented under zypper help clean, my fault.
man zypper:
Each command accepts the options listed in the GLOBAL OPTIONS section. In
addition, many commands have specific options, which are listed in this
section.
Also, "each command accepts global options" makes me think I can put global
options either before or after the command, making me wonder what happens in
this case:
zypper -n in
zypper in -n
zypper -n in -n
Rephrase to "global options can be used before any command"?
