https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=382512 Summary: "Network: None" in Gnome start menu despite that WLAN is connected Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Beta 1 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: probono@myrealbox.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Beta-Customer On the Beta 1 Live CD (GNOME), I can connect to the WLAN using nm-applet. It does show the connection (4 bars) in the task bar. However, inside the Gnome start menu in the upper-left corner (labelled "Computer"), the network icon is crossed out and it says "Network: None". Clicking on that icon opens (for whatever reason) the Package Management... I would have expected it to open Network Manager This is only a cosmetic problem since nm-applet works but it should be addressed anyway. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
