We will bring this issue to the attention of ATI. However please keep in mind
we have very little influence on the release schedule of their documentation.
Since documentation release requires a considerable amount of legal work which
incurs costs it needs to meet the hardware vendors' business requirements.
Still it's not unlikely that AMD will release specifications on earlier ASIC
generations at some point in time.
You may check http://ati.amd.com/developer/open_gpu_documentation.html for
available documentation from time to time.
Although this is a valid feature request we at Novell can only implement a
limited number of features ourselves. Since the radeon driver is an open source
project, you may want to work with the X developers community to get this
feature implemented once the documentation becomes available.
For now this can only be closed as WONTFIX.
