ATI is currently preparing documentation for their latest chipset generations.
However due to the need for some legal review the documentation process
currently takes longer than we originally expected.
There is nothing we can do from our side to expedite this process - especially
not for older hardware and as long as there are still huge gaps in the
documentation for current hardware.
I will ask again about the plans - but this will not change anything.
Since PowerPlay seems to change considerably between ASIC generations I don't
think documentation for later chips would help for an Radeon 9200.
This would be a feature the upstream radeon maintainer should be asked for.

From what I have been repeatedly told there are plans to eventually open updocumentation on earlier generations also.
However due to the need for some legal review the documentation process
currently takes longer than we originally expected.
