When using a .smi subtitle file which contains metadata at the beginning of the
file, totem displays it as subtitle on screen.  So, from the video start till
the first actual subtext, the whole screen is filled w/ metadata.  This didn't
happen with totem-xine, so I guess it's a gstreamer thing.  I'll attach a
screen shot and a subtitle file.
