https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=380971 Summary: Painting error with popup menus on ARGB visuals with Xinerama Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Factory Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: sndirsch@novell.com ReportedBy: wstephenson@novell.com QAContact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com CC: llunak@novell.com Found By: --- Factory, xorg 7.3, KDE 4.0.3 from our packages. Plasma uses an ARGB visual. Sometimes opening a popup menu causes an area the size and shape of the popup to be painted with the background (ie the contents of the root window) elsewhere on the display. To reproduce: Start KDE 4, no kwin compositing enabled. right click on the desktop, select "Configure Desktop.." move the configure desktop dialog onto the other screen (not the one it appeared on) expand any of the combo boxes - an area of the same dimensions painted with the root window background appears on the other desktop. Alternatively, the KRunner dialog (shown with alt-f2) also displays this behaviour when its history combobox is expanded. When Plasma is prevented from using an ARGB visual (coquet-stephenson-6) the problem goes away. I can reproduce this with nvidia, but sndirsch also experienced it with radeonhd. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
