[Bug 379128] Pager in vertical KD E4 taskbar doesn’t adapt to available horizontal space

At the top of the screenshot you see that the pager uses only about
half of the available width.
Since KDE4, this task-bar pager has the nice feature that windows can
be moved from one virtual screen to the next with the mouse. I like
that very much, Gnome could always do that bug in case of KDE3 I had
to use the extra program “kpager” for that.
But this feature is hardly usable if the pager is so small and doesn’t
use the available space in the taskbar.
