--- Comment #54 from Stefan Dirsch 2008-04-08 11:28:11 MST ---
When parsing the keyboard configuration from the config file the Xserver is
running
"/usr/bin/xkbcomp" \
-w 1 "-R/usr/share/X11/xkb" \
-xkm \
"-" \
-em1 "The XKEYBOARD keymap compiler (xkbcomp) reports:" \
-emp "> " \
-eml "Errors from xkbcomp are not fatal to the X server" \
"/tmp/server-1.xkm"
And I can reproduce the issue when running
setxkbmap -print | \
"/usr/bin/xkbcomp" \
-w 1 "-R/usr/share/X11/xkb" \
-xkm \
"-" \
-em1 "The XKEYBOARD keymap compiler (xkbcomp) reports:" \
-emp "> " \
-eml "Errors from xkbcomp are not fatal to the X server" \
"/tmp/server-1.xkm"
I can't reproduce the issue when I'm running
setxkbmap -print | \
/usr/bin/xkbcomp \
-w 1 "-R/usr/share/X11/xkb" \
- \
-em1 "The XKEYBOARD keymap compiler (xkbcomp) reports:" \
-emp "> " \
-eml "Errors from xkbcomp are not fatal to the X server" \
:1
instead. So it's somewhat related to the use of xkm instead of an X display.
