Hi There,
Sorry for the tardiness of the reply. I had the same problem when I double
checked during installation of 10.3 on my laptop and couldn't figure out what
was happening. So today I checked again by plugging an old HD into my desktop
and installing onto that. Here is what I did and saw.
I performed a standard KDE install onto the HD minus amarok, kaffeine and xine.
Repositories were then added. Post install, I added amarok, kaffeine and xine
through YaST, all from the PacMan repo. After finishing with YaST, the amarok
icon was then present in the K Menu under applications/multimedia but not
present in the favourites. What is more, when right clicking on the amarok icon
in applications/multimedia, the "add to favourites" function is greyed out and
I can't drag the amarok icon into favourites manually.
However, when I logged out via "end session" and logged back in again, amarok
was present in my favourites. So it looks to me as if it got added to
favourites database automatically on installation of amarok but the favourites
in the K Menu only updated graphically after logging out and then back in. So
probably no problem after all, just unusual behaviour.
