I think I know the problem.

Every time, an attachment is added, the bar is redrawn. Meaning that when you
add the nth attachment, it draws all n-1 icons in the bar. Which might answer
the reason.

Out of curiosity: I never thought the number of attachments be more than 20-30.
<big>140</big> ? I wish the sender knew about tar/zip/archive.

Michael, can you send me that mail as a mbox file ;-)? I can fix it.
