Summary: GDM fails with VMware Workstation and VMware Tools
Product: openSUSE 10.3
Version: Final
Platform: x86
OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: X.Org
AssignedTo: sndirsch@xxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: info@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
QAContact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Found By: Customer
Installing OpenSuSE 10.3 as a guest OS into VMware Workstation (latest build)
works well. After installing the VMware-Tools, on next boot, X / gdm does not
come up.
It tries, crashes, tries, crashes...
While looking into the VMware Community, I found, that commenting out "load
"glx" in /etc/X11/xorg.conf does the job.

Is this a bug in the Vmware-tools or mainly in X.org / OpenSuSE?
