I'm experiencing a pause (20 to 25 seconds) as well but this comes after
loading the b44 (Broadcom LAN) driver. No difference in pause time if the lan
cable is connected or not.

The line after the pause is Loading kernel modules...

So maybe it's not the b44 or bluetooth modules but something happening after
it?

Running Alpha 3 here with an Intel Centrino Duo and updated to all latest
factory versions (Kernel is 2.6.25-rc7 git)

Also when booted up using modprobe -r b44 / modprobe b44 is instant.. no delay.
