I‘ ve got the same problem I guess. (opensuse10.3, gdm&gnome, update and then
this problem)

I can manage it opening grandr and checking the Off-checkbox. But even if I do
that as root - every xstart starts with the wrong behaviour again.

How to say randr OFF forever (or at least as long as I don‘t say ON again)?
That would be a solution for me.
