I monitored an idle KDE4 session using powertop to see how the various
enhancements in the latest kernel versions (dynamic ticks on x86-64,
CONFIG_USB_SUSPEND, ...) affect the battery time on my ThinkPad T60p.

There seems to be a problem with knotify4, which is causing nearly 50% of the
wakeups on my idle machine (about 900 wakeups per second). If KDE 4.1 is going
to be the default KDE desktop on openSUSE 11.0 I would like to suggest to fix
this, because this bug makes most of the latest power optimizations in the
kernel quite useless.
