In looking at your YaST hardware information, I noticed you are using the Linux
2.6.25-rc5-git3-6-default kernel. In your bootloader, are you offered to boot
from a different kernel? I have 2 entries to choose from:
Linux 2.6.25-rc5-git3-6-default and OpenSUSE 11.
When using the Linux 2.6.25-rc5-git3-6-default entry, my usb devices do not
automount (or at least that I know of).
dmesg does detect it though:
usb 1-1: New high speed USB device ehci_hcd and address 3
I do not know what to do with it at this point. USB may be handled different
because I believe USB drivers are going to be GPL-only in 2.6.25.
So if you have another entry in your bootloader, boot that one and see if USB
detection works then.
Thanks
